Description

Send HDMI® Audio & Video over an Ethernet network to multiple screens

Description

The KanexPro EXT-AVIPH264RX is a DHCP enabled AV over IP receiver with HDMI output to display and Ethernet. This receiver over IP uses advanced H.264 compression algorithm to transmit full HD 1080p from HDMI based displays with less bandwidth over LAN network. It supports PoE (power over Ethernet) with distances over a single CATx up to 394 ft. (120m) delivering one to one, one to many and many to many over the Ethernet switch.

Applications:

Ideal for digital signage and networked AV applications where full HD 1080p can be passed over IP network delivering full audio, video, power, data and control using a single Ethernet cable.

Please note: Power over Ethernet will be supported only with a PoE enabled network switch.

Helpful Tips & Recommendations:

  • Solid core CAT5e/6 or greater with TIA/ EIA-568B crimp pattern
  • Do not share ground connection with display
  • Shielded CAT5/6 with metal RJ-45 connectors are recommended to safeguard against random video flashes caused by electromagnetic interference (EMI).
  • If the power LED indicator on the Tx/Rx unit is not on, check to make sure that the CAT5/6 cables are not crossed i.e., Ethernet to Link instead of Ethernet to Ethernet.
